The Battle Before Dawn: Author and Spoken Word Artist, Dawn Battle

Dawn Battle was born to Cynthia Battle and the late Apostle William L. Battle Jr. Dawn is the Founder & Owner of Angels Faith LLC. I founded Angels Faith in 2016. Dawn produced the name Angels Faith from many people she encountered, and helped call her an Angel and since they have put their trust in her, “I called it Faith.” Dawn converted the business into an LLC on January 3, 2019. In her 8-year experience she has helped clients reach their goals from self-goals, relationship goals, to career goals. Another area of specialty is blended families that she helps reach their goal of blending as smoothly as possible. “I have firsthand experience with blended families as I am a part of one. I know that everyone’s process is different and unique to each family’s values.” Other specialties include grief coaching, mobile Notary for the State of Georgia, co-author of Woman Who War: A Poetic Guide Through Spiritual Warfare, and a podcaster; Life Under Pressure with Renewed Strength.

Name: Dawn Battle

Family dynamics: Mother of 3 (1) daughter (2) sons

Hobbies/Pastime: My favorite pastime is being near water, writing poetry and listening to music helps relax me, praise dancing (praise is the way I say thank you), helping people because to get a blessing must be a blessing, and spending time with family and friends. I also love to fish, bowl, and watch good movies.

Business/Talent? I am an author. I currently have two published books The Battle Before Dawn and Women Who War a poetic guide through spiritual warfare, a book I co-authored. I’m founder and CEO of Angel’s Faith LLC life coach, Podcaster of Life Under Pressure with Renewed Strength, and Notary Public for the state of Georgia.

Where are you from? Born in Albany, GA but raised in East Atlanta.

What are you passionate about? I am passionate about women’s empowerment. I am a Royal sister of Zeta Alpha Psi Sisterhood International. Being able to help people during trying times is important to me which is why I’m training to be a crisis counselor. What’s the driving force behind it? I had no one to talk to when I was going through my crisis, so I wanted to train to be the person I needed when I had a crisis.

What’s your skill set? My skill set is writing poetry, Public speaking, and being a people’s person.

What sets you apart from others in your same field? I’m a judgment free zone, a safe space. God said through love and kindness I drawn the line. I take the time to listen to the people I help and talk to. Everyone can receive the training but it’s my faith in God, my character and integrity that sets me apart.

If you could choose any career in the world, would you still choose the career or talent you have? If I could choose talent, I would still choose poetry. I would like to be able to sing but God gave me music and rhythm to praise dance.

What would you tell your younger self? Trust God’s plan and don’t run from the calling on your life.

Knowing what you know now, would you change anything in your past? No, because everything in my past helped shape me and mold me into the person I am today.

Who are your role models? My first set of role models are my parents my parents taught me everything about life and ministry. Out of my siblings it’s my brother Robert, we’re closer in age and he’s my first best friend. He has always been one phone call away.

What would you say to those that are starting out in your field? No matter which field you choose, know that you must believe in yourself. If you are an author, poet, or podcaster, always keep a notebook or journal near you. You never know when an idea, topic, or a poetic line comes to your mind. If you’re going to be a life coach know that you must be an accountability partner therefore you have to be a person that is dependable and accountable. If you want to be a crisis counselor, you must know that everyone’s crisis is different. Yes, they have similarities but don’t ever group them or categorize their experience. Your focus is getting them to feel safe, not relating to them to make them feel like their crisis is not a crisis.

What is your favorite quote? Explain? “I don’t want my plan. I want God’s.” Meaning no matter how much I plan for my life, God’s plan is always better than mine. I always remember my life is not my own. God has a purpose for your life; he knew you before you were in your mother’s womb. Your plans may fail but God’s purpose for your life will prevail.

What has been your biggest accomplishment? Most will talk about their accolades or their children. My biggest accomplishment is telling people about God. Nothing else will matter when it’s all said and done. I want to hear well done thy good and faithful servant.

Whats a fun fact about you? Well, my dad and brothers can sing. I didn’t get that gift, but I love to sing although my family laughs because I can’t sing. But in the Bible, it says make a joyful noise. I’m just following directions. I can draw and don’t do it as much anymore.

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? If I could be any animal, I would be an Eagle. Eagles are often symbolized for courage, strength, and wisdom.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?  Working within God’s kingdom. Perfecting the gifts God gave me and to give him all the glory.
