To date, Monique is best known for delivering powerful runway performances as well as being the fresh face for various A-List brands such as LiviRae Lingerie. CurvySense. Parfait. BrassyBra, and Tefani’s Boutique, among many others. In addition, Monique has since become a respected name in the coaching sector with upcoming model workshops starting January 2024, all to empower the next wave of models to pursue their careers with unapologetic confidence and self-acceptance. Furthermore, doing so while lacing in the gentle reminder that beauty and success are not one-size-fits-all scenarios.
Based out of Atlanta. CA, Monique’s journey to modeling encapsulates the true essence of alchemy -transforming lifelong issues with self-esteem into genuine acceptance and love. I have experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating an industry that often emphasizes narrow beauty standards. This has fueled my determination to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all. Through my workshops, advocacy work, and modeling career, I aim to inspire others to love themselves and pursue their dreams with confidence. My journey and authenticity resonate with many, allowing me to connect deeply with my audience and inspire others to embrace their true selves. Whats your purpose in life?
The message that I hope to convey is inner peace, confidence, and self-love. I stand united with the pioneers of the plus-size community, who have battled against body shaming and advocated for diversity and inclusion in the fashion, arts, entertainment, and beauty industries. My mission is to uplift the plus-size community by embracing self-love and challenging societal norms.
If you could choose any career in the world, would you still choose the career or talent you have?
YES, NO doubt about it!!
What would you tell your younger self?
I would tell my younger chubby cute self to embrace every part of who you are and to love yourself unconditionally. Your worth is not determined by your size or shape but by your kindness, your strength, and your unique qualities. Don’t let anyone’s opinion define you or limit your potential. The very things that make you feel different now are the things that will set you apart and make you shine in the future. Believe in your dreams and work hard to achieve them, because you are capable of amazing things. Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you, and never be afraid to speak up for yourself and others. Remember, confidence comes from within, and the most beautiful thing you can wear is your self-assurance. Your journey will be challenging at times ( LORD KNOWS), but every experience will shape you into the strong, inspiring person you are meant to be!!

What would you say to those who are starting out in your field? Career?
Mentoring aspiring models is a passion of mine, and I always emphasize a few key pieces of advice to help them build their careers and thrive in the fashion industry: Build Confidence in front of the mirror ( naked is best) tell yourself you are beautiful and say it with PRIDE and PASSION. Learn Learn Learn- stay informed about the latest trends, techniques, and opportunities. Take classes, attend workshops, and learn from experienced professionals to keep honing your skills.
What is your favorite quote? Explain?
“Know your worth. Then add tax”- by Sharon M. Peterson. Why? Whenever I am feeling down on myself I simply remember this quote. We often find ourselves settling for less than we deserve, rationalizing being mistreated, and accepting being undervalued. Today is the day.. tooo.. KNOW YOUR WORTH AND ADD THAT TAX!!

The Cardinal- bird reflects your bright personality, and it can also represent significant personal transformation, progress, and movement into higher levels of consciousness.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment has been starting my model workshop series. These workshops have allowed me to directly share my knowledge and experience with aspiring models, helping them build confidence, develop their skills, and navigate the industry. Seeing the positive impact on participants and watching them grow and succeed has been incredibly fulfilling. Its a way for me to give back to the community and create a supportive network where everyone can thrive. This accomplishment represents not only my personal success but also the success and empowerment of others, which is immensely rewarding.
What is a fun fact about you?
HA! When I sneeze I can hit a Mariah Carey octave and scare the mess out of anyone near me!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
In five years, I see myself continuing to make a significant impact in the fashion industry as a plus-size model. I plan to expand my influence by hosting more workshops and empowering aspiring models to embrace their uniqueness and confidence. I aim to collaborate with top brands to further promote body positivity and inclusivity in fashion. Additionally, I aspire to use my platform to advocate for mental health awareness and support within the industry. Ultimately, I envision a future where I am not only recognized for my work in modeling but also for my contributions to creating a more inclusive and supportive fashion community.
If you could leave a lasting legacy, what would that look like?
If I could leave a lasting legacy, it would be one of empowerment and inclusivity. I want to be remembered as someone who broke down barriers and redefined beauty standards in the fashion industry, paving the way for future generations of models to feel confident and accepted, regardless of their size or shape. My legacy would also include a strong commitment to education and mentorship. Through my model workshops, I hope to inspire and equip aspiring models with the tools and mindset they need to succeed. I want to foster a community that celebrates diversity and encourages self-love. Ultimately, my legacy would be one of positive change, inclusivity, and a lasting impact on both the fashion industry and the individuals who are part of it.
