Hobbies/Pastime: Baking, Crafting, and Shopping

Where are you from? I am from Muncie, IN

Whats your purpose in life? My purpose in life is to be the best leader and role model I can be to others. I love helping and seeing everyone succeed in life. I always want to push everyone to do better daily.

If you could choose any career in the world, would you still choose the career or talent you have? I would still be in the same field I am today. I currently work for the courts. My goal is to go back to school get my masters first, then go to law school. My dream job has always been to become an attorney.

Who are your role models? My role models are my mother Josie James, and Rhonda Ward (my first grade teacher)

What is your favorite quote? Explain?

“Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart. Believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you imagine.”-Roy T. Bennett  This is my favorite quote because it lets me know not to let fear keep me from going for the dreams that my heart desires. I know that once I’m going for my dreams I’m brave because I’m working to accomplish it, and capable of achieving it due to my unstoppable talent.

If you were an animal, what would it be and why? It would be a dolphin. I feel like dolphins are so lovable and care free. They tend to attract everyone and send a sense of calming.

What does entrepreneurship mean to you and why? It means setting up a business or businesses through a process. Every entrepreneur has to build their business or businesses following certain steps to get it where they want it to be even while bearing the risks. Once it is built, they then can enjoy the benefits from it.

Being an International Queen, what does that mean to you? Being an International Queen means being an International Leader. I feel that you should lead, spread awareness of your platform and others to help make a difference in the world. Also make sure you are constantly encouraging, showing love and support no matter what.

Is this your first pageant, and how does it feel to be competing? No! This was my second pageant I have competed in. It felt really good competing after all these years. I would love to continue competing in the pageantry world.

What do you do outside of pageantry? (Job, School)

I am the Delaware County Circuit 2 Clerk. I work Monday- Friday. I coach two cheer teams. I am a model, and model coach as well.

What do you do to keep the balance? What I do to keep balance is have 3-4 calendars to help with reminders. I make sure to let my team (coaches) know if I am unable due to my kids having sports , or other events. My husband and I also make sure we rotate events when we are both not able to be somewhere. I tend to split my time between everything to help keep balance.

What advice would you give a new queen starting her journey through pageantry? The advice I would give is to believe in yourself, stay calm, and don’t overthink anything. When you believe in yourself you will go out on the stage and be great. When you are calm you don’t overthink anything, and that will keep you from thinking the worst outcome.

What do you plan to accomplish on an International spectrum for change while having this title? Bringing awareness about my Queens and Kings Are Us Platform, while promoting my Queen Sisters platforms. My biggest plan is to accomplish have my platform in not only my community, but nationwide.

What would you tell your younger self? (Question for my older Queens) I would tell my younger self to not listen to other peoples opinions so much. To value my own opinion and never second guess going for my dreams, thinking I won’t have the support of others.

Knowing what you know now, would you change anything in your past? No! We live and learn from our mistakes, now that I have learned from them I continue to move forward. I can give knowledge to others to try to keep them from making the same mistakes I have.

If you could leave a lasting impression, what would that look like? My lasting impression I would leave is the care and love I give to others. Teaching and showing others how to treat someone with the care you give, love you give unconditionally, and accepting others no matter their situation are all characteristics no one can take from you. I pray that will make others continue to spread the same care to everyone.
